A person who had threatened to bomb Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been apprehended. The police team arrested Sonu Paswan, accused of sending threatening audio clips to DGP RS Bhatti, demanding Kumar’s resignation from BJP. Paswan, originally from Samastipur’s Hasanpur Dayanagar, was located in Karnataka. In an audio clip sent on January 31, he warned of a bomb attack if Kumar didn’t leave BJP. Another incident involves two individuals, including a YouTuber, arrested by Patna Junction Golambar police for uploading a video with offensive language and death threats against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Paswan, after arrest, confessed to the crime, attributing it to frustration with rising unemployment and poverty in Bihar.
Paswan had sent five audio clips to DGP, including one indicating danger to DGP himself. In one clip, he mentioned a possible blast within four to five days. He also threatened to make the audio viral on social media and warned Chief Minister Kumar to leave BJP. Despite the arrest, Paswan denies any political affiliation, and an inquiry is underway. Another individual, a YouTuber, was arrested for uploading the threatening video on social media. The police are investigating the matter, and the primary information has not yet led to a formal case filing.
