Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has followed in the footsteps of Narendra Modi. Nitish Kumar will hold a roadshow for the first time in Bihar. Nitish Kumar will conduct roadshows in Gaya on April 9 and Aurangabad on April 11. Prior to this, on April 7, Nitish Kumar will also participate in a rally with PM Modi in Nawada. On April 4, Nitish Kumar attended the Prime Minister’s rally in Jamui. According to party sources, on April 9, Nitish Kumar will not only hold a roadshow for party leader and former Chief Minister Jeetan Ram Manjhi but will also address an election rally for Manjhi in Gaya. Similarly, on April 11, Nitish Kumar will hold a roadshow for BJP candidate Sushil Singh in Aurangabad. It is also being said that there will be an election rally for him here.

Nitish Kumar, who is preparing for Mission 2024, may be conducting his first roadshow in Bihar, but his association with roads and journeys is quite deep. Chief Minister Nitish has undertaken a total of 13 journeys in his 18-year tenure. To gather feedback on his work, Nitish Kumar has not only undertaken one or two but a total of 13 journeys. In February 2005, when Nitish Kumar failed to overturn the government of Rabri Devi due to not having a majority in the elections, he undertook his first Justice Yatra. This journey was a super hit, and in November 2005, Nitish became the Chief Minister.

Narendra Modi Boosts Trend of Roadshows

Although roadshows have been an old medium for politicians to connect with the public, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has boosted the trend of roadshows. Today, many leaders are conducting roadshows. Along with old leaders, new entrants in politics are also seen conducting roadshows along with pedestrian marches and rallies. The tradition of roadshows in Bihar has diminished, but in recent days, Tejashwi Yadav’s roadshow has been quite talked about. Recently, there was also a significant crowd at the roadshow of Rohini Acharya and Shambhavi Chaudhary.
