An image depicting the Bihar State Education Department’s initiative to confer the status of state civil servants to qualified teachers has surfaced, promising enhanced benefits and recognition. Following the recent announcement of the results of the eligibility examination conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board, a staggering 187,615 (1.87 lakh) appointed teachers have successfully passed the examination, paving their way to be recognized as specialized educators.
The Bihar State Education Department has commenced preparations for the counseling process, slated to commence by the end of April. The counseling for qualified teachers is expected to initiate in the final week of April, subject to approval from the Election Commission.
The counseling process for eligible teachers is set to commence by the end of April, with the Election Commission likely to grant the necessary permission. The preliminary preparations for counseling the qualified teachers have already been underway, with approximately 1.39 lakh teachers from classes one to five, 22,941 from classes six to eight, over 20,000 from classes nine to ten, and 5,313 from classes eleven to twelve having passed the eligibility examination.
Prior to joining schools, counseling sessions will be conducted for qualified teachers, in accordance with the regulations laid out by the Education Department. Subsequently, teachers will be deployed to schools based on their contributions and expertise, receiving recognition as specialized school educators. Additionally, special educators will be entitled to all benefits and financial perks equivalent to state government employees.
Furthermore, the allocation of schools for the qualified teachers will be done through randomization, ensuring a fair distribution process.
It is noteworthy that the Education Department has sought approval from the Election Commission for conducting the counseling of appointed teachers. Upon receiving the necessary approval, the department will issue detailed directives to expedite the deployment process, adhering to the guidelines of the state’s code of conduct.
