Gaya: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar embarked on a one-day visit to Bihar on Sunday. He arrived at Gaya Airport around 11 AM. Subsequently, he traveled by road to Bodh Gaya. Upon his arrival, he first visited the Mahabodhi Temple to pay homage to Lord Buddha. He performed puja and offered prayers at the temple, wishing for peace and harmony in the country. After the puja at Mahabodhi Temple, the Vice President will participate in the convocation ceremony at IIM. Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will also be present at the convocation ceremony.
Tight Security Measures at Gaya Airport Due to PM and VP’s Arrival
Strict security measures have been implemented at Gaya Airport and its surroundings until the arrival and departure of the Prime Minister and Vice President. From 10 AM to 2 PM, there will be restrictions on any vehicular movement along the Gaya-Dobhi road. For this purpose, there may be restrictions on vehicular movement from Gaya to Sherghati.
Vice President to Confer Degrees and Medals to Students
Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has embarked on a one-day tour of Bihar. Vice President Dhankhar will inaugurate a tree plantation program at IIM, Bodh Gaya. After the national anthem, lighting of the lamp, and Saraswati Vandana, Dr. Vinita E.S. Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, will present the institute’s annual report. Subsequently, the Vice President will confer Vice President Medals and degrees to outstanding students of the 8th batch of MBA. After honoring the students, the Vice President will address the program.
