In the latest development regarding the third phase of teacher recruitment in Bihar, the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released comprehensive information on its website. The recruitment process will result in the appointment of 87,774 teachers across various subjects and districts.
Details of Primary School Vacancies:
For primary schools, vacancies are distributed across General, Urdu, and Bengali categories. There are 11,861 vacancies for the General category, 3,456 for Urdu, and 42 for Bengali. Additionally, there are reserved vacancies for women, totaling 12,667, with 9,910 in the General category, 2,719 for Urdu, and 38 for Bengali.
Vacancies in Middle Schools – Mathematics and Science Dominating:
In middle schools, the highest number of vacancies, 6,114, is in the Mathematics and Science category, with 2,552 reserved for women. Social Science follows with 3,710 vacancies, including 1,684 reserved for women. English secures the third position with 2,586 vacancies, 1,617 of which are reserved for women. Other subjects include Hindi (2,865), Urdu (1,952), and Sanskrit (1,418), with corresponding reservations for women.
Extended Application Deadline until February 26:
BPSC has extended the application deadline for the third phase of teacher recruitment without any late fees. Initially set for February 23, the deadline has been extended to February 26. During this period, applicants can complete registration, pay examination fees, and submit forms without incurring late fees.
Impressive Registration and Submission Figures:
As of Friday afternoon, 423,000 candidates had registered, with 391,000 completing the submission process for the teacher recruitment in the third phase. By noon, 131,000 applications were received for primary schools, 178,012 for middle schools, 125,600 for secondary schools, and 49,670 for higher secondary schools.
