In the midst of the forthcoming consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla scheduled for January 22, Ayodhya witnesses the installation of a significant bronze idol of ‘Jatayu’ at the historic ‘Kuber Tila’ within the Janmabhoomi complex.
The mythological vulture, Jatayu, played a pivotal role in the Ramayana, sacrificing his life in devotion to Lord Rama and Sita during Treta Yug. The statue now stands as a symbol of the struggles and sacrifices of countless devotees associated with the Ram temple in Kalyug.
Treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Trust, Govind Devagiri, revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to pay homage to Jatayu at this idol on January 22. The Prime Minister will first offer flowers at the statue of Jatayu at the Ram temple and then proceed to consecrate the idol of Ram Lala in the temple.
The consecration ceremony holds immense significance, marking a crucial milestone in the long-standing journey towards the realization of the Ram temple. Trust member Anil Mishra shared that a mountain of 5 feet high stones has been prepared to install the Jatayu statue.
Additionally, the ancient Shiv temple located on Kuber Tila in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex is undergoing renovation by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
‘Kuber Tila,’ a silent witness to the freedom movement of the country, has historical significance as Baba Ram Sharan Das, a Seer of Hanumangarhi temple of Ayodhya, and Maulvi Ameer Ali, a cleric of Faizabad, were hanged together on March 18, 1858, after the British suppressed the revolt of 1857.
