In a notable response to Asaduddin Owaisi’s recent cautionary message to Muslim youth, Peethadhishwar Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham dismissed Owaisi’s remarks as rooted in “fear.” Shastri asserted that the intention is not to build temples on masjids but to engage in the reconstruction of temples, expressing a hope that Owaisi’s perceived fear remains within him.
Owaisi, addressing the approaching inauguration of the Ram Temple, had urged Muslim youth to stay vigilant against potential efforts to “snatch away” mosques. He emphasized the importance of keeping mosques populated.
In response, Shastri underscored that Lord Ram should not be a subject of politics, deeming the politicization of the Ram Temple consecration ceremony as “idiocy.” He encouraged people to vote in the national interest and clarified that the temple is being constructed not for casteism but for the faith of all Ram devotees.
Addressing the Gyanyapi and Mathura Janamanbhoomi matters, Shastri pointed out the existing legal framework and the involvement of the Supreme Court of India. He highlighted the current evidence from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), indicating the presence of a Sanatana temple.
Shastri, who received an invitation to the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple, expressed that the event holds more significance than the festival of Diwali.
