In a horrifying incident, a five-year-old boy lost his life as unknown assailants fired into a Bessemer home where he was getting his haircut, according to Alabama police reports.
The tragic event unfolded at approximately 10 am on Sunday, leaving the young victim identified as Brandon Jamal Nation III of Fairfield, as confirmed by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
Sources reveal that the boy’s mother had taken him to the residence for a routine haircut when an unidentified individual outside commenced shooting into the home. The situation quickly escalated, resulting in the untimely death of young Brandon Jamal Nation III.
Detective Justin Burmeister of the Bessemer police expressed the profound sorrow surrounding the incident, stating, “It’s terrible. Our thoughts are with the family during this incredibly challenging time.”
Among the victims was a man inside the residence, recognized as the boy’s barber, although his identity remains undisclosed. The barber sustained gunshot wounds and was promptly transported to a hospital. As of now, his condition is not immediately available.
