Madonna has gone viral on social media after she mistakenly said she was in Boston during the second night of a two-show stint at Scotiabank Arena , Toranto, Canada.

The music melody, 65, was performing when a fan-filmed video featured her greeting concertgoers with, “Hello, Boston!”

The seven-time Grammy award winner quickly corrected herself in a fan-filmed video that was shared on TikTok, asking the crowd, “Are you guys crazy at me ’because I said ‘Hello, Boston?’”

Before to landing in Toronto, Madonna played two nights in Boston ,US.

The Queen of Pop then seized the moment to subtly criticise Lady Gaga as she continued her apology. “I’m sorry. What kind of confusing up situation is that? That would be like if you guys were saying, ‘Hey, Lady Gaga’s playing tonight!’ I wouldn’t appreciate that. I mean, you know, nothing against Lady Gaga. Love her. I do! I love anyone shorter than me.”

On social media, fans lauded the Material Girl’s “sense of humour” with many incorporating crown emojis in their posts.

“That’s the Madonna we know and love,” one person wrote on TikTok with another adding, “She’s the embodiment of irony and she’s played this cynical character since the ’80s.”

But others questioned her for taking a veiled swipe at Gaga.

“Why drag Gaga into your s***?” one fan asked, before warning: “Be careful. Gaga is not the one to play with. [She’s a] multi-talented actress and performer!!”

The duo songstresses have been engaged in an on-and-off feud for over a decade after Madonna accused Gaga of borrowing from her iconic song Express Yourself on her anthem Born This Way.

“I thought, this is a wonderful way to redo/reinterpret my song,” Madge told Newsweek in 2012. “I mean, I recognized the chord changes. I thought it was … interesting.”

Six years after, during Gaga press rounds for her movie A Star Is Born, the Oscar winner spoke about her path to fame, telling reporters: “ in a room with 100 people and 99 of them don’t believe in you, but all it takes is one and it just changes your whole life.”

Madonna spotted the comment and posted a clip of herself from the 1980s in which she said, “If there are 100 people in a room and 99 say they liked it, I only remember the one person who didn’t.”

Over the years, Gaga has tried to dispel/quash any talk of a beef/Fued, asserting that two “are very different.”

“I didn’t want to do comparison at all,” she said in a Beats 1 Radio chat with Zane Lowe in 2016. I don’t mean to insult Madonna. She’s a nice lady. And she’s had a fantastic illustrious __career she’s the biggest pop star of all time. But I play a lot of instruments. I write all my own music. I spend hours and hours a day in the studio. I’m a producer. I’m a writer. What I do is different.”

In her 2017 documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two, Gaga also said she had wished Madonna would have approached her directly if she believed “Born This Way” was a copied song.

“dosent matter how much respect I have for her as a performer, I could never wrap my head around the fact that she wouldn’t look me in the eye and tell me that I was reductive or whatever … Telling me you think I’m a piece of s*** through the media?”

However , the duo appeared to have buried the hatchet when they were photographed together at a post-Oscars celebration in 2019.

In a portrait Time posted on Instra, Madonna cradled Lady Gaga’s face as the actress held her Oscar statuette she won for Best Original Song for Shallow.

Madonna also posted a similar image of the smiling pair on Twitter and Instagram, captioning the shot: “Don’t Mess with Italian Girls.”

Madonna has been thrilling of her four decades in the music industry, with her ongoing Celebration journey that kicked off last year. However ,the trek was postponed after she suffered a “serious bacterial infection” that nearly took her her.

“Less than four months ago, I was in a hospital and I was unconscious, and people were thinking, predicting that I might not make it,” she said in Belgium in October 2023.

God “gave another chance,” she continued. “So I’m very grateful for that.”
