New Delhi, Former Indian cricket captain, MS Dhoni, has filed a criminal case against his former business partners, Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash, in the Ranchi court. Dhoni claims they defrauded him of Rs 15 crore in connection to a 2017 business deal.

The complaint alleges that Diwakar, representing Arka Sports and Management Limited, failed to honor the conditions of a deal signed in 2017. The agreement aimed to open cricket academies worldwide in Dhoni’s name. According to Dhoni’s lawyer, Advocate Dayanand Singh, Arka Sports violated the terms by not paying franchise fees and sharing profits as agreed upon.

Dhoni withdrew the authorization letter from Arka Sports on August 15, 2021, after several legal notices went unanswered. His lawyer stated that legal action was the only recourse left, citing deception and cheating.
