Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, has made significant remarks regarding the possibility of Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s visit and investment in India. He stated, “Regardless of whose money, sweat should be for my country.”
During an interview with news agency ANI, PM Modi emphasized Musk’s support for India, stating, “Elon Musk being a supporter is one thing; fundamentally, he is a supporter of India. I want investment in India. Regardless of whose money it is, sweat should be for my country, with the fragrance of my country’s soil, so that my country’s youth can find employment.”
PM Modi reiterated his stance in another interview with ANI, stating, “Whoever wants to invest in India can do so, but it should be made by Indians so that employment opportunities can be created for our youth.”
Musk had praised PM Modi in a recent post on ‘X,’ expressing eagerness for a meeting during his visit to India. During PM Modi’s visit to the United States last June, Musk had met with him, expressing the possibility of visiting India in 2024 and entering the Indian market soon.
In summary, PM Modi’s emphasis on investment being made by Indians highlights his vision for empowering the country’s youth and fostering economic growth.
