In a powerful address at a special session of the Pakistan occupied Kashmir (pok) Legislative Assembly, caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar denounced India as “the world’s largest hypocrisy.” He dismissed the title of the world’s largest democracy as a misnomer, alleging that India uses hallow slogans of secularism, democracy, and diversity to mask caste-based societal operations, systematic intimidation, marginalization of minorities, state-sponsored killings, and terrorism.

PM Kakar, addressing the grave injustice faced by the Kashmiri people, questioned the world’s collective conscience, asking how long the people of Kashmir would continue to endure sacrifices, arbitrary detentions of leaders, and extrajudicial executions. He sent a direct message to New Delhi, urging them to keep their rants to themselves and expressed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to Kashmiris.

Referring to the Indian Supreme Court’s validation of New Delhi’s measures in 2019 as “politically motivated,” PM Kakar emphasized Pakistan’s steadfastness in protecting its core interests, both regionally and beyond, despite challenging economic conditions.

The caretaker Prime Minister also drew attention to geopolitical comparisons, stating, “Muzaffarabad is not Gaza, and Delhi is not Tel Aviv,” alluding to similarities between leaders Binyamin Netanyahu and Narendra Modi. He asserted that no one could seize an inch of the territory of Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir, responding to recent statements by some BJP leaders.

PM Kakar questioned the legitimacy of international support for Ukraine compared to the situation in Indian-Kashmir, emphasizing that while India might be strategically important for the US in containing China, it is not Pakistan’s need. He warned against RAW’s belligerence heading towards the western hemisphere, urging Western civilization to take note.
