In a notable development, actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have received a personal invitation from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22. This invitation comes on the heels of the recent invitation extended to actor Rajinikanth for the same event.
The couple was honored with the invitation during a meeting with RSS members, including Sunil Ambekar and Ajay Mudpe. They were presented with bouquets and formal invitations to participate in the Pran Pratistha ceremony of the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir.
The much-anticipated event, scheduled for January 22, is expected to draw over one lakh devotees. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to attend the ‘pran pratishtha,’ marking a momentous occasion for the Ram Temple complex. The temple, built in the traditional Nagara style, will span 380 feet in length, 250 feet in width, and stand at a height of 161 feet.
In the entertainment sphere, after celebrating the New Year overseas, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt returned to Mumbai with their one-year-old daughter, Raha Kapoor. The couple recently attended the success bash of the film “Animal,” in which Ranbir played the lead role.
The ceremony, steeped in religious and cultural significance, is set to be a grand affair, and the presence of Bollywood luminaries adds a unique dimension to the auspicious occasion.
