The fate of Bihar was sealed on the third day as they were reduced to 91/6 in their second innings, following a first-innings total of 100 in response to Mumbai’s 251. Mohit Avasthi played a crucial role, returning figures of 6/27.
Celebrating his call-up to India’s squad for three T20Is against Afghanistan, Shivam Dube showcased a stellar performance with figures of 11-4-10-7 in the second innings, following 6-3-13-2 in the first innings.
Chhattisgarh Secures Outright Win Against Assam
In another Ranji Trophy encounter, Chhattisgarh secured an outright win with a dominant 10-wicket victory over Assam. Despite Riyan Parag’s record-breaking century for Assam, where he scored 155 from 87 balls, Chhattisgarh bowled out Assam for 159 in reply to their first-innings total of 327. Assam’s valiant efforts were in vain as Chhattisgarh chased down the target without losing any wickets.
Andhra Forces Draw Against Bengal
At Visakhapatnam, Ricky Bhui’s marathon 347-ball 175 guided Andhra to a draw against Bengal. Bhui’s remarkable innings, combined with contributions from Hanuma Vihari and Shoaib Khan, helped Andhra reach 445 in reply to Bengal’s 409. The match ended in a tame draw with Bengal at 87/1 in their second innings.
Uttar Pradesh Secures Draw Against Kerala in Hard-Fought Contest
In a hard-fought contest at Alappuzha, Uttar Pradesh secured a draw against Kerala, earning three points. UP took a 59-run lead in the first innings, dismissing Kerala for 243 after posting 302. In the second innings, declarations from Aryan Juyal (115) and Priyam Garg (106) allowed UP to set an overall lead of 382 runs. Kerala, in reply, were 72/2.
