US Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has used the term “axis of evil,” first coined by President George W. Bush, to describe the current threat to the United States. According to McConnell, this new “axis of evil” consists of Russia, China, and Iran. He emphasized the immediate need to address this threat, citing their actions and connections, including Russia’s conflict with Ukraine and Iran’s involvement in supporting various groups. McConnell also warned of potential further aggression, suggesting that if Russia is successful in Ukraine, it may target a NATO country.
