A devastating fire erupted at a hotel near Patna Junction, resulting in a tragic incident on Thursday. Following the incident, chaos ensued as police and fire department teams sprang into action to control the blaze. Several fire brigade vehicles rushed to the scene to bring the fire under control. After hours of relentless efforts, the fire was finally subdued, and individuals trapped inside the hotel were evacuated.
The unfortunate incident has claimed the lives of six individuals, while more than a dozen have been admitted to the ICU with severe injuries. Confirming the casualties, Central SP Chandr Prakash stated that among the deceased was a female employee of the hotel, identified as Dinesh Singh from Kamur district.
The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, with authorities investigating the matter. Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) were also deployed for rescue operations. Eyewitnesses reported that smoke suddenly filled the rooms, causing some individuals to lose consciousness. The rapid spread of the fire engulfed the entire hotel premises and adjacent buildings, exacerbating the situation.
