Gorakhpur, In a recent address, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed confidence that the state is on track to become the leading economy in the country. During the inauguration of a resort and banquet hall in Gorakhpur, he highlighted the increased investment in the state, with proposals worth ₹40 lakh crore at the Global Investment Summit earlier this year. Adityanath emphasized the importance of sustainability, technological advancement, and private sector collaboration for continued development.
Addressing a gathering, Adityanath noted the positive shift in investors’ confidence, attributing it to the investment proposals received during the Global Investment Summit. He emphasized the need for ongoing reforms, business-friendly policies, and a favorable atmosphere for investment, citing the changing perception of Uttar Pradesh in terms of safety and security.
The Chief Minister pointed out that developments in resorts, quality hotels, hospitals, educational institutions, and road connectivity have turned Ramgarh Tal in Gorakhpur into a tourist destination. He underlined the importance of both government projects and private sector participation for expedited development.
During a review of ongoing highway projects, Adityanath instructed the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) officials to install CCTV cameras every 1 km on state highways and expand their capacity. He emphasized the completion of these projects before November 2024 and prioritized the timely completion of highways connecting Prayagraj in preparation for Mahakumbh 2025.
Adityanath also highlighted the significance of completing state highway projects around Ayodhya before the inauguration of the Ram temple. He urged officials to ensure the quality of ongoing construction work and addressed specific concerns, such as an overbridge for traffic movement in Sahjanwa town on the Lucknow-Gorakhpur national highway.
