The residents of Rajauli are losing sleep due to unannounced power cuts, which have become increasingly frequent amidst the scorching heat.
The electricity system in Rajauli is currently highly unreliable, leaving people worried and frustrated as power failures persist for hours.
On Saturday, a power failure occurred at 3 a.m. due to a fault, and despite numerous calls from consumers, there was no response from the electricity department.
More than a dozen transformers in Rajauli are overloaded, causing overheating and contributing to these unannounced power cuts.
The power cuts, lasting five to six hours in the name of improving the supply system, disrupt household chores and business activities.
With rising temperatures, power outages have become common in both urban and rural areas, with no fixed schedule for when electricity will be restored.
Students’ studies are also being severely affected, as the ongoing game of hide and seek with electricity continues from Rajauli city to the villages. The lack of notice for load shedding, even in extreme heat, adds to the inconvenience faced by consumers.
