In a recent statement, the US State Department urged India and Pakistan to avoid escalating tensions and to seek resolution through dialogue. Spokesperson Matthew Miller emphasized the importance of both nations finding peaceful solutions to their disputes.

“We don’t have any comment on the underlined allegations,” stated Miller when asked about media reports suggesting Indian government involvement in assassinations within Pakistan. While refraining from intervening directly, the US reiterated its encouragement for dialogue and de-escalation.

Recent reports by Britain’s The Guardian newspaper alleged that India had conducted extrajudicial killings in Pakistan as part of its anti-terrorism strategy, which India denied.

The developments underscore the delicate diplomatic balance in the region as tensions persist between India and Pakistan.
