In a significant development, BJP’s Divyang cell state unit president, Om Prakash, asserted that the upcoming Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is designed to be a “Divyang-friendly temple.” Emphasizing inspiration drawn from PM Narendra Modi’s vision, provisions are being incorporated into the under-construction temple to facilitate easy access for disabled individuals.
During a meeting of the party’s Divyang cell in Kashi, Om Prakash stated that the temple complex will include features like lifts and two ramps at the entrance, ensuring accessibility for all. The goal is to make the complex inclusive and accommodating, providing a seamless experience for differently-abled individuals.
Om Prakash also highlighted the BJP’s commitment to empowering Divyangs, allowing them to contribute meaningfully to society and politics through the Divyang cell. Mobilizing the community for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, he noted the significant role the approximately 2 crore Divyang population in Uttar Pradesh could play in shaping the government.
