New Delhi: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar announced today that assembly elections in four states will be conducted simultaneously with the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections, commencing from April 19.
Arunachal Pradesh, with 60 assembly and 2 Lok Sabha seats, will hold elections on April 19. Similarly, Sikkim, featuring 32 assembly seats, will also cast its votes on April 19.
Voting for 175 assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh is scheduled for May 13, with results to be declared on June 4.
In Odisha, the assembly elections will be conducted in two phases – voting for 42 seats on May 25 and for the remaining 42 seats on June 1.
