New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit today at Bharat Mandapam. As India leads GPAI in 2024, the annual summit aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice in artificial intelligence, supporting cutting-edge research and applied activities on AI-related priorities.
The GPAI initiative boasts 29 member countries, and India, as a founding member since 2020, is currently the incoming support chair and the lead chair in 2024. The summit, scheduled from December 12 to 14, will host multiple sessions covering diverse topics such as AI and global health, education and skilling, AI and data governance, and ML Workshop.
In addition to the inaugural ceremony by Prime Minister Modi, the summit will feature various attractions, including a Research Symposium, AI Game Changers Award, and the India AI Expo. More than 50 GPAI experts and over 150 speakers from around the world will participate in the summit.
Top AI game changers from leading companies, including Intel, Reliance Jio, Google, Meta, AWS, Yotta, Netweb, Paytm, Microsoft, Mastercard, NIC, STPI, Immerse, Jio Haptik, and Bhashini, are expected to partake in different events. Furthermore, winners under the YUVA AI initiative and startup representatives will showcase their AI models and solutions during the summit.
