New Delhi, In a remarkable turn of events, Sai Sudharsan, the rising star from Gujarat Titans, marked his One Day International (ODI) debut for Team India in the series opener against South Africa. Sudharsan, who made waves with his impressive performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, received his maiden India cap from stand-in skipper KL Rahul.
Former GT skipper Hardik Pandya, recognizing Sudharsan’s potential, had previously predicted the youngster’s significant contributions to franchise cricket and, eventually, to the Indian national team. Sudharsan’s journey to the national squad began with GT signing him for a modest INR 20 lakh at the IPL 2022 auction.
