New Delhi, In response to the recent recruitment drive conducted by a 15-member Israeli team for construction workers in Indian states, five additional states—Mizoram, Telangana, Rajasthan, Bihar, and Himachal Pradesh—have expressed their interest in participating. The drive, initiated on Jan 16, focused on hiring skilled manpower, with 5,600 candidates selected from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan highlighted this as a step towards making India a global hub for skilled resources. The collaboration aims to address workforce needs in Israel’s construction industry, offering attractive monthly salaries, medical insurance, food, accommodation, and bonuses for selected candidates. The initiative is seen as a result of ethical migration facilitated by the ministries of external affairs and skill development. India’s commitment extends beyond Israel, with agreements signed with 13 other countries for similar programs.
