Mumbai – In a devastating incident that unfolded in the early hours of Friday, a fierce blaze engulfed a seven-story edifice in the heart of Goregaon West, leaving six individuals dead, including two minors, and a staggering 40 injured.
The inferno, which was first reported at 3:05 AM at the Jay Bhavani building, situated in close proximity to Azad Maidan, wreaked havoc in its wake, claiming the lives of one man, three women, and two young girls.
Officials from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) swiftly responded to the crisis, revealing that the fire primarily raged within the ground-floor shops, consuming scrap materials, and multiple vehicles parked nearby.
