The issued travel advisory states, “Owing to heightened tensions in numerous global hotspots and the escalating potential for terrorist incidents, public demonstrations, or aggressive actions against American nationals and interests, the Department of State strongly urges U.S. citizens abroad to exercise heightened vigilance.”
The United States State Department has also disseminated a series of invaluable guidelines and directives. This alteration is attributed to the unstable security scenario in Lebanon, prompting the Department of State to authorize the voluntary evacuation of U.S. government personnel’s family members and certain non-emergency personnel on a case-by-case basis from the U.S. Embassy in Beirut.
