Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has heaped praise on India’s fast bowlers and referred to the team as “ruthless” in their approach. India’s potent bowling attack, comprising of Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah, delivered a remarkable performance in the ongoing World Cup. Shoaib Akhtar mentioned that he believes India’s dominance in the tournament will persist.

India’s bowlers have demonstrated their prowess throughout the World Cup, consistently dismissing their opponents. They have bowled out the opposition in five of their seven matches in the tournament. Shami, in particular, has been exceptional, claiming 14 wickets in just three appearances, making him India’s highest wicket-taker in World Cup history. Akhtar commended Shami’s remarkable performance and expressed his happiness for the pacer’s resurgence.

Additionally, Shoaib Akhtar highlighted Mohammed Siraj’s brilliant form in the tournament. Siraj answered his critics with a remarkable performance in a match against Sri Lanka, taking three wickets without conceding a run. Bumrah’s contributions have been equally vital, providing the team with additional firepower.

Sri Lanka faced a devastating defeat as they were bowled out for just 55 runs while chasing a target of 358 set by India. This marked the third time this year that Sri Lanka’s batting lineup crumbled against India in ODIs. India’s dominant performance secured their place in the World Cup semi-finals.

Shoaib Akhtar commended India’s exceptional fast bowling unit and encouraged Indian fans to celebrate their pace bowlers, emphasizing that the team’s ruthlessness would continue in the tournament.

This strong showing by India’s fast bowlers has solidified their status as a formidable force in the cricketing world.
