Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar vehemently criticized former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi in the state Assembly for questioning the accuracy of the caste-based survey. Expressing disdain, Kumar asserted, “We elevated him to the position of Chief Minister, a decision I now regret as it was based on my own foolishness.”
Manjhi, alleging flaws in the survey, stated, “If the data is incorrect, the intended beneficiaries won’t receive the rightful benefits.” Nitish Kumar’s scathing remarks led to uproar in the Assembly, with opposition leaders condemning his statements.
Amid the chaos, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and Janata Dal (United) leader Vijay Kumar Choudhary were compelled to intervene. The BJP, in protest, accused Kumar of insanity, leading to the adjournment of the House until the next day.
In response, Jitan Ram Manjhi defended himself, declaring, “He made me the Chief Minister to salvage his prestige after a humiliating electoral defeat.” Manjhi expressed shock at Kumar’s behavior, deeming him mentally unstable and using disrespectful language.
As the political drama unfolded, Manjhi took to social media, asserting that Kumar’s claim of making him Chief Minister was a fallacy. Accusing Kumar of vulnerability, he challenged him to address issues beyond targeting a Dalit leader. The confrontation between the two leaders adds a new chapter to Bihar’s political landscape.
