Chandigarh,In a strategic move ahead of the upcoming elections, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar declared free education for girls from families with an annual income of Rs 1.80 lakh, applicable to both government and private colleges in the state. Additionally, the government will cover half of the college fees for girls with incomes ranging from Rs 1.80 lakh to Rs 3 lakh. This announcement was made during the Jan Ashirwad rally in Samalkha, Panipat district.

CM Khattar revealed a comprehensive development plan for Samalkha residents, including the conversion of Samalkha from a municipality to a Municipal Council. Plans include establishing two sectors, each spanning 100 acres, where land is available. The existing 50-bed CHC in Samalkha will be upgraded to a 100-bed hospital. To address infrastructure concerns, a straight 1-kilometer road connecting the mini secretariat to the hospital was announced, contingent on land provision by the public.

Highlighting government achievements since 2014, CM Khattar emphasized the commitment to eradicating corruption, reducing crime, and eliminating caste-based politics. The focus remains on attracting investments, particularly in education, health, security, self-respect, self-reliance, service, and good governance. Notable initiatives include free medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh for families with incomes up to Rs 1.80 lakh and naming medical colleges and universities after prominent individuals.

MP Sanjay Bhatia, BJP leader Sanjay Chokkar, BJP District President Archana Gupta, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Jyoti Sharma, and other officials were present at the Jan Ashirwad rally.
