In a paradigm shift towards data-driven decision-making, India’s data science education market is projected to surge to $1.391 billion by 2028, as per the “Data Science Education Report 2023” released by Imarticus Learning. This substantial growth, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 57.52%, is fueled by the increasing demand for data scientists, data analysts, business analysts, and big data engineers.

Globally, the data science education sector is poised to reach $378.7 billion by 2030. Simultaneously, the online education sector is expected to witness remarkable growth, escalating from $76.20 million to $533.69 million.

The research forecasts a significant surge in big data and analytics job opportunities, with projections indicating over 338,000 openings by 2028. Key recruiters like Amazon, AWS, Deloitte, and Google actively seek data science professionals, offering competitive annual remuneration packages ranging from Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 35.1 lakh.

India’s remarkable rise as a big data analytics powerhouse is evident with an estimated 30.1% CAGR, propelling the industry from $5.7 billion in 2022 to an anticipated $30.7 billion by 2027. The report identifies key positions such as Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Business Analysts as the most in-demand roles, together contributing to the sector’s expansion.

Imarticus Learning emphasizes sustained investments in AI research and development to align educational institutes with industry demands. Nikhil Barshikar, Founder and CEO of Imarticus Learning, emphasizes the growing interest in data science education in India, describing it as a journey into the future, one data scientist at a time.
