Lucknow, In preparation for the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, a comprehensive security plan for the Ram temple is set to be enforced by January 5. The decision was made during a high-level meeting of the Ram temple’s security committee in Ayodhya, attended by senior police officials, including the additional director general of police (security), the IG police (Ayodhya range), IB officials, the Ayodhya divisional commissioner, and a member of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust.

The security committee outlined that the initial phase of the plan, backed by a ₹40 crore budget from the state government, will involve installing necessary security equipment through which devotees entering Ram Janmabhoomi will pass. Ayodhya divisional commissioner Gaurav Dayal stated that the overall security plan is awaiting approval from the state government.

Ram temple Trust member Anil Mishra mentioned, “By January 5, the entire security plan will be rolled out.” Devotees arriving at Ram Janmabhoomi will undergo security checks using the newly installed equipment, ensuring a thorough testing of the security apparatus ahead of the temple’s opening ceremony on January 22.

Inspector General of Police (Ayodhya range) Praveen Kumar outlined a four-tier security plan for Ram Janmabhoomi, involving agencies such as the CRPF, PAC, and the special security force (SSF). Kumar emphasized the use of artificial intelligence in the temple’s security measures.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, is expected to be the chief guest at the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22. The Trust has invited 2,500 guests for the grand opening ceremony, including 4,000 saints. The temple will be open to devotees starting January 23.
