In the latest exit poll results for the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) appears poised to retain the state, with Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan potentially securing a record 5th term.

– CNX Exit Poll: Suggests a comfortable win for the BJP with 140-158 seats, while the Congress may secure 70-89 seats.

– Times Now-ETG Exit Poll: Predicts BJP winning 105-117 seats, and Congress securing 109-125 seats.

– Axis My India Exit Poll:Indicates a resounding win for BJP with 140-162 seats, leaving Congress with 68-90 seats.

– Chanakya Exit Poll: Projects a BJP sweep with 151 seats out of 230, Congress with 74, and Others with 5.

– Dainik Bhaskar Exit Poll: Predicts Congress may get 105-120 seats, while BJP could win 95-115.

– Pollstrat Exit Poll: Suggests BJP may win 106-116 seats, and Congress could win 111-121 seats.

– Matrize Exit Poll: Gives a slight edge to BJP, predicting 118-130 seats, while Congress may get 97-107 seats.

– Jan Ki Baat Exit Poll:Foresees a tight fight between Congress and BJP, with BJP expected to win 100-123, Congress 102-125, and Others 5.

Despite the exit poll results, the Congress remains in a tight fight with the BJP, and a hung assembly is considered a possibility. The actual outcome is eagerly awaited after spirited campaigning led by state unit president Kamal Nath for the Congress and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan seeking a fifth term for the BJP.

The exit poll results come after a direct contest between the BJP and Congress, with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also contesting but unlikely to make major headway. Reports suggest a close race despite media predictions, indicating the dynamic nature of the political landscape in Madhya Pradesh.

In 2020, Jyotiraditya Scindia’s move to the BJP led to the collapse of the Kamal Nath-led Congress government, resulting in the BJP’s return to power within 15 months. The assembly, with 231 seats, has been a focal point for political shifts, and the Congress is hopeful for a comeback following the recent elections on November 17, 2023.
