Lucknow, the eagerly awaited Vande Bharat Express train service is on track to connect Lucknow and Patna, with the Northern Railway Lucknow Division concluding the route survey. Operating via Sultanpur and Varanasi, the service’s launch date is pending finalization, as reported by sources.
The comprehensive survey, conducted jointly by the Lucknow and Moradabad divisions of Northern Railway approximately a month ago, marks a significant step toward realizing the new rail link. The railway board has assigned the rake manufacturing work for the Lucknow-Patna Vande Bharat Express to the Rail Coach Factory, and an official notification is anticipated soon.
Notably, the service’s timetable is expected to align with the schedules of other trains on the route, according to a senior railways official. The morning-hour service from Lucknow to Patna aims to enhance connectivity for passengers.
Vande Bharat Express, introduced in 2019, stands out as a semi-high-speed and popular train service, known for its efficiency and comfort.
