In a surprising turn of events during the Rajasthan assembly elections, several ministers from the Ashok Gehlot government, including Govind Ram Meghwal, experienced defeat. Govind Meghwal, who served as the disaster management minister and the Congress’ campaign committee chief, faced a loss on the Khajuwala seat, defeated by the BJP’s Vishwanath Meghwal.

Other Congress ministers who suffered defeat include Bhanwar Singh Bhati on the Kolayat seat, Shakuntala Rawat in Bansur, Vishvendra Singh in Deeg Kumher, Ramesh Chand Meena in Sapotara, Shale Mohammad in Pokaran, and Udailal Anjana in Nimbahera.

Moreover, ministers trailing in the ongoing elections include BD Kalla in Bikaner West, Zahida Khan in Kaman, Bhajan Lal Jatav in Weir, Mamta Bhupesh in Sikrai, Parsadi Lal Meena in Lalsot, Sukhram Vishnoi in Sanchore, Ramlal Jat in Mandal, and Pramod Jain Bhaya in Anta.

Additionally, five out of the six advisors to CM Gehlot, namely Sanyam Lodha in Sirohi, Rajkumar Sharma in Nawalgarh, Babu Lal Nagar in Dudu, Danish Abrar, and former chief secretary Niranjan Arya, are currently trailing in the election results.

While Gehlot and some ministers are leading and poised for victory, the unexpected results in the assembly polls signal a significant shift in the political landscape.
