New Delhi, In response to the unfolding assembly election results across four states, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi conveyed his acceptance of the people’s mandate. The Congress party faced defeat in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan but secured a victory in Telangana.

“We humbly accept the mandate of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan – the battle of ideology will continue,” stated Rahul Gandhi, expressing his acknowledgment of the electoral outcomes.

Gandhi also extended gratitude to the people of Telangana for electing the Congress to power, vowing to fulfill promises for the state’s development.

“Will definitely fulfill the promise of making Prajalu Telangana,” wrote the Wayanad MP.

He expressed heartfelt thanks to the party workers for their dedication and support during the election process.

Earlier in the day, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge termed the election results as a “temporary setback” and emphasized the party’s determination to overcome challenges in the three states. Kharge affirmed the Congress’s commitment to rebuilding and reviving in the face of adversity.

“Our performance in these three states [Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan] has no doubt been disappointing, but with determination, we reaffirm our strong resolve to rebuild and revive ourselves in these three states,” declared Kharge.

He added, “We will overcome temporary setbacks and prepare ourselves fully for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections along with the INDIA parties.”

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised to retain power in Madhya Pradesh and secure victories in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, as per counting trends. In Telangana, the Congress is on track for a notable victory.

Meanwhile, a Congress party meeting on the opposition bloc INDIA is scheduled for December 6 in New Delhi, indicating a strategic response to the election outcomes.
