In a significant development, a top Border Security Force (BSF) officer revealed that intelligence reports suggest nearly 300 militants are currently positioned at launchpads across the border, awaiting an opportunity to infiltrate into Jammu and Kashmir. The security forces in the region have been placed on high alert, with assurances that they are prepared to thwart any attempts at cross-border infiltration.

Inspector General, BSF, Ashok Yadav, stated that despite the presence of militants at launchpads, both the Army and BSF have effectively secured vulnerable areas and remain vigilant. Yadav asserted confidence in the forces’ ability to thwart any infiltration bid.

Yadav also highlighted the increasing collaboration between security forces and the people of Kashmir in recent years, expressing optimism that such cooperation could facilitate developmental activities in the region.
