In a recent announcement from Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Droupadi Murmu is set to embark on a tour across three states – West Bengal, Telangana, and Rajasthan – from December 18 to 23.

The journey kicks off with the President attending the 69th convocation of IIT Kharagpur in West Bengal on December 18. Subsequently, she will grace the centenary celebrations of Hyderabad Public School Society in Telangana on December 19.

President Murmu’s visit to Telangana includes stops at a handloom and spinning unit, the theme pavilion of the Ministry of Textiles in Pochampally, and the golden jubilee celebrations of MNR Educational Trust in Secunderabad.

At Rashtrapati Nilayam, Telangana, various projects are slated for inauguration on December 21. The following day, December 22, will feature an ‘At Home reception’ for dignitaries, including leading citizens and academics.

The culmination of the tour takes place on December 23, as President Droupadi Murmu witnesses a live firing exercise at Pokhran, Rajasthan.

This annual southern sojourn offers insights into the integrative role of the Office of the President of India. Stay tuned for updates on this significant visit.
