Varanasi:In a grand ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Swarved Mahamandir, a colossal seven-floor temple located in Varanasi’s Umaraha area. Accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, PM Modi explored the center, which has the capacity to accommodate 20,000 individuals for meditation.

The inauguration marked PM Modi’s second visit, the first being in December 2021. The occasion coincided with the centenary celebration of Vihangam Yoga, an annual congregation commemorating the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Vihangam Yog Sansthan by Sadguru Sadafal Deoji Maharaj, a 19th-century spiritual leader, mystic poet, and seer. The Mahamandir houses the idol of the revered seer.

Key Facts About Swarved Mahamandir:

– The temple showcases an exquisite design with 125-petal lotus domes and an impressive seating capacity of 20,000, ranking it among the world’s largest meditation centers.

– Situated in the Umaraha area, approximately 12 km from Varanasi’s city center, the Swarved Mahamandir covers an expansive area of 3,00,000 square feet.

– The foundation was laid in 2004 by Sadguru Acharya Swantantra Dev and Sant Pravar Vigyan Dev, with construction involving 600 workers and 15 engineers.

– Teakwood ceilings and doors with intricate carvings, along with 101 fountains, contribute to the temple’s grandeur.

– The seven-floor superstructure is adorned with verses of the Swarveda, a spiritual text authored by Sadguru Shri Sadafal Deoji Maharaj.

– Pink sandstone embellishes the walls, complemented by a beautiful garden featuring medicinal herbs.

– Named after the Swarved, the spiritual text emphasizes Brahm Vidya, empowering spiritual seekers with knowledge for maintaining a state of consummate Zen.

– Swarved Mahamandir aims to “illuminate humankind with its magnificent spiritual aura and engulf the world in a state of peaceful alertness.”

The inauguration of this monumental spiritual edifice marks a significant milestone, promoting the teachings of Swarveda and fostering an environment of tranquility and enlightenment.
