In a significant operation, the Delhi Police’s crime branch uncovered a clandestine fake medicine factory operating in the industrial area of Ghulabi Bagh. The illegal unit, involved in the production of counterfeit anti-itching gel Betnovate-N, was traced to plot number 99, Gulabi Bagh Industrial Area.

A raid conducted at the premises revealed alarming findings. At least 57 cartons containing approximately 68,000 empty tubes of Betnovate-N cream were seized. Additionally, four cartons filled with around 2,200 tubes of the counterfeit cream, along with raw materials and heavy manufacturing machinery, were confiscated.

The owner, identified as Avan Monga (45), previously engaged in producing unbranded products with his brother. Subsequently, he established his own factory, specializing in duplicating products from various companies. Monga had been operating this illegal setup for the past year.

Efforts are underway to uncover the entire network of this illicit operation, which the police state had extended its reach into Outer Delhi.
