In a significant announcement, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has become the proud owner of the Mumbai team in the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL). The ISPL, India’s first T10 cricket tournament played with a tennis ball, is set to commence its inaugural edition from March 2 to March 9 in Mumbai.

Expressing his enthusiasm for this new venture, Bachchan took to his personal blog, stating, “A new day and a new enterprise. For me, an honor and a privilege to be with Mumbai as Team Owner, and to be privy to the surge of talent erupt, for a grand visionary future.”

The ISPL aims to provide a platform for players who have honed their skills in the streets and makeshift pitches, allowing them to showcase their talents in a formal setup. The tournament will feature six teams – Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Srinagar – playing 19 high-intensity matches.

Bachchan’s association adds star power to the league’s ownership, joining fellow actors Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan, who are team owners for Srinagar and Bengaluru, respectively.

As the ISPL gears up for its inaugural edition, cricket enthusiasts eagerly anticipate a unique blend of talent and entertainment in this exciting T10 cricket extravaganza.
