In response to the frequent winter fog causing flight delays in Delhi, Tata-owned Air India unveiled its FogCare program, allowing passengers to cancel or reschedule bookings without incurring additional charges. The airline’s statement reassured travelers that no extra costs would be levied in case of significant flight delays due to fog.

The FogCare program, initiated last year, aims to enhance passenger convenience during adverse weather conditions. Air India emphasizes its commitment to providing proactive support, offering uncomplicated options for rescheduling or canceling tickets.

Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer at Air India, stated that this sincere effort seeks to minimize inconvenience for customers affected by foggy conditions. The airline plans to keep passengers informed with regular updates on fog through advisories, enabling them to make decisions based on flight-specific information.

This initiative comes as over 100 flights experienced delays in Delhi due to dense fog, a common occurrence during the winter season in the national capital.
