In a strong reaction to Sam Pitroda’s recent comments downplaying the significance of the Ram Mandir issue, BJP MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar accused Pitroda and the Congress party of practicing appeasement politics. Chandrasekhar emphasized that Pitroda’s remarks mirror the mindset of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. The BJP MP highlighted Pitroda’s previous positions during the UPA era, citing instances such as the 2G scam and inflation, to underscore his criticism.

The consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is scheduled for January 22, with various BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expected to attend.

Pitroda, responding to questions on EVMs, urged the Congress and INDIA bloc members to take the matter seriously, asserting that the 2024 Lok Sabha election would determine the destiny of the nation. He emphasized the need to safeguard democracy and expressed concerns about the state of democracy today.

On the face of the INDIA bloc for the upcoming elections, Pitroda stated that the focus should be on ideas rather than personalities. He urged for a parliamentary election fought on the idea of democracy, inclusion, and diversity.
