New Delhi, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has criticized the BJP-led central government for rejecting Punjab’s tableau for the Republic Day parade. Mann accused the government of harboring “poison” against the people of Punjab. The proposed tableaus included topics on the history of Punjabi martyrs, Mai Bhago Ji, and the priceless heritage of Punjab.

In response, BJP leader Harjeet Grewal defended the decision, stating that tableaus must meet set parameters, and if they don’t, they are rejected. Grewal urged the Aam Aadmi Party to provide details on why Punjab’s tableau was rejected.

Notably, the centre has also rejected tableaus from Delhi and Himachal Pradesh for the upcoming Republic Day.
