In a controversial development, a new Russian textbook for students has emerged, claiming that former US President Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election due to alleged voter fraud orchestrated by the Democratic Party. The textbook, aimed at high school students, reportedly includes content asserting that Trump’s defeat was a result of “obvious falsifications” by the Democratic Party.

Images circulating on social media reveal excerpts from the textbook, with prominent academic Konstantin Sonin from the University of Chicago confirming the contents. According to Sonin, the textbook, part of the World History curriculum for Russian high schools, quietly imparts the narrative that Trump was denied the presidency in 2020 due to electoral fraud by the Democratic Party.

The publication of this textbook follows criminal charges against Donald Trump and his allies related to the US Capitol riots that ensued after the announcement of the 2020 election results.

Additionally, another excerpt from the textbook includes unproven claims about current US President Joe Biden. The text alleges that Biden’s political career has been marred by corruption scandals, and he, along with his family, has commercial interests in Ukraine.

While these claims have sparked controversy, the broader implications of such educational materials on international relations and perceptions of the US electoral process remain a topic of concern.
