In a notable appearance at IIT Bombay’s Techfest, Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio, announced a strategic collaboration between Reliance Jio and IIT-B for the development of an AI platform named Bharat GPT. Amidst discussions, Akash Ambani shared insights into his father’s reaction upon learning about his speaking engagement at IIT Bombay.

Expressing his honor to be at the prestigious engineering college, Akash Ambani revealed, “My father always wanted me to be an engineer. Full disclaimer, I am not an engineer. To be invited to an engineering college of such stature is an honor.” He added that Mukesh Ambani, his father, initially did not believe he would be speaking at IIT-B and even sent Akash’s wife, Shloka, as a witness.

The Techfest, a prominent annual science and technology festival, commenced on December 27, showcasing not only technological advancements but also anecdotes from influential figures like Akash Ambani.
