PM Modi to inaugurate Ayodhya airport, revamped railway station today, ahead of mega Ram Temple event: Details

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Ayodhya on Saturday, December 30, to inaugurate various development projects, including the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport and the revamped Ayodhya Dham railway station. These initiatives, amounting to ₹15,000 crore, precede the Pran Pratishtha (consecration ceremony) of Ram Lalla at the Ram temple scheduled for January 22.

Key Events During PM Modi’s Visit:

Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Inauguration:
– Phase 1 cost: Over ₹1,450 crore.
– Terminal area: 6500 sqm, serving approximately 10 lakh passengers annually.
– Features: Reflects Ram Temple architecture, adorned with local art and murals.
– Aims to enhance connectivity, boost tourism, and generate employment.

Ayodhya Dham Railway Station Redevelopment:
– Phase I cost: Over ₹240 crore.
– Modern features: Lifts, escalators, food plazas, puja shops, cloakrooms, and more.
– Certified as a green station building and accessible for all.
– PM Modi to flag off new Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat Express trains.

Public Program and Project Inaugurations:
– Modi will participate in a public program around 1 pm.
– Inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone for projects worth over ₹15,700 crore.
– Includes developments in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, and other areas.

Development Projects Highlights:
– Tourist facilities’ development from Naya Ghat to Laxman Ghat.
– Visitor gallery construction for events like Deepotsav.
– Strengthening and renovating the pilgrim path from Ram Ki Paidi to Raj Ghat and Raj Ghat to Ram Temple.
– Launch of a greenfield township and Vashishtha Kunj Residential Scheme.

Infrastructure Projects Beyond Ayodhya:
– Inauguration of projects across Uttar Pradesh, such as road widening, rail strengthening, and sewage treatment.

Grand Welcome and Cultural Program:
– Over 1,400 performers to present folk art and cultural programs along the route.
– Vaibhav Mishra and Mohit Mishra to welcome PM Modi with traditional instruments.
– Various artists to showcase Awadhi and Vantangiya dance forms.

PM Modi’s Arrival Schedule:
– Landing at Ayodhya airport at 10:30 am.
– 16-km roadshow starting at 11:15 am.
– Inauguration of Ayodhya Dham railway station at 11:15 am.
– Inauguration of Maharishi Valmiki International Airport at 12:15 pm.

The visit reflects the government’s commitment to developing world-class infrastructure, improving connectivity, and preserving Ayodhya’s rich heritage.
