In a significant move, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has appointed party MLA Basavaraj Rayareddy as his economic advisor, conferring upon him a cabinet-rank status. This decision aims to leverage Rayareddy’s expertise in the finance sector, particularly emphasizing the widespread reach of the Gruha Lakshmi scheme across Karnataka.

Alongside Rayareddy, Congress MLA R V Deshpande has been named Chairperson of the State Administrative Reforms Commission, also enjoying cabinet ranking. BR Patil joins the advisory team as an advisor to the Chief Minister, with a similar cabinet rank status.

The Chief Minister highlighted Rayareddy’s proficiency in the finance sector, emphasizing the potential positive impact on the Gruha Lakshmi scheme’s implementation. Additionally, the article reports on the plans for a job fair in Bengaluru at the end of January, with a designated team of ministers working towards its successful organization.
