The Ram Temple trust has extended an invitation to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22. Amidst political controversies over the guest list, Kameshwar Chaupal, a trustee, mentioned that the decision to keep the invitee list small was due to security protocols. The trust has opted not to include chief ministers and governors in the invitation but has invited the top leadership of all national parties. Nitish Kumar recently assumed the role of president of Janata Dal (United).

In a plea to citizens, Chaupal reiterated the trust’s request for people to refrain from visiting Ayodhya on January 22 unless they have official invitations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also urged people to celebrate the occasion at home, avoiding travel to Ayodhya for the consecration ceremony.
