In the spirit of the upcoming consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Uttar Pradesh Transport Department has initiated a special directive to infuse a divine ambiance. Ram Bhajans will grace the public address systems of all Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses until January 22.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, leading the preparations for the significant ceremony, chaired a review meeting with officials. The state government plans to organize programs encompassing bhajans, recitation of the Ramayana, Ramcharitmanas, and Sundarkand in Ayodhya’s temples starting January 14.

According to the detailed action plan outlined by the Transport Department, besides playing popular Ram bhajans in buses, cleanliness will be meticulously maintained in all passenger vehicles and bus stations.

“The broadcasting will include various artists’ renditions of popular devotional songs related to Lord Ram, in addition to bhajans and hymns that are popular among people today as well as devotional songs sung by local singers,” stated a press release.

Ensuring a holistic approach, the action plan incorporates training for bus drivers, emphasizing safe driving practices, compliance with traffic rules, and the proper conduct towards tourists. Drivers are mandated to wear uniforms, refrain from intoxication and tobacco use, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and adhere to specified fares.

To enhance tourist assistance, interceptor vehicles will patrol all routes within a 200-kilometer radius of Ayodhya, addressing issues related to road safety. Help desks will be established at toll plazas to guide travelers between Lucknow-Ayodhya, Gorakhpur-Ayodhya, and Sultanpur-Ayodhya.

The state’s proactive approach aims to create a conducive environment, intertwining spirituality with travel, as the region gears up for the momentous Ram Temple consecration.
