Ghaziabad: The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has introduced a comprehensive policy to rent out NCRTC/Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) premises and its Namo Bharat trains for hosting events, film shootings, etc.

NCRTC officials stated that the policy allows the hiring of five operational stations in Ghaziabad on payment of specific charges. The 17km priority section in Ghaziabad comprises stations at Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, and Duhai Depot.

Booking charges are fixed at ₹2 lakh/hour for Namo Bharat trains and RRTS stations, ₹3 lakh/hour for both Namo Bharat trains and stations, and ₹2.5 lakhs/hour for depots/sites.

The initiative aims to generate revenue for NCRTC while providing scenic value to films, ads, and documentaries. The spokesperson mentioned that the architectural design of RRTS stations and trains makes them an exceptional choice for film shootings.

The initiative will extend to all 25 stations of the 82km RRTS project as it becomes functional. The RRTS project aims to connect Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut through Namo Bharat trains and is expected to be fully operational by June 2025.

The 82km project features about 70km of elevated sections with underground stretches in Delhi and Meerut. The RRTS stations draw inspiration from the peacock feather’s vibrant hues, offering an optimal setting for cinematic storytelling.
